Let us all act now, so that the World Social Forum

does not contribute negatively to climate change!

Compensate your carbon footprint!

The project « International Forest » would like to invite you to assume your responsibility, individually and/or collectively, to help fighting the climate change that is compromising our planet. It is our objective to provide a permanent and sustainable perspective and encourage all universities worldwide to take part in the initiative. There is no better place than a University to demonstrate that it is possible to take concrete initiatives that lead to reducing our share – conscious or unconscious – in the environmental deterioration, caused by the consumption of non-renewable resources (transport, air conditioning, TV, etc.).

You can take part in this project by sponsoring a tree or a solar lamp - either in your own name or as a present in another person’s name. A « certificate of sponsorship - carbon credit WSF » will be issued.

1st Option: Plant a tree:

The sponsored trees will be planted in selected areas on the campus of the University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar. The sponsorship includes: The inscription of the sponsor’s name on the plaque Forêt du FSM, the plantations excavation, a tube for an optimal irrigation and the protection of the tree.

Price of sponsorship: 3000 F CFA (reduced: 2500 F CFA) for the first year, 1000 F CFA for the second year, 500 F CFA for the third and following years.

2nd Option:

solar lamps and street lamps: prices vary between 40 000 F CFA and 400 000 F CFA.
